Casamuseo offers you an experiential and sensorial journey, to discover underground environments excavated over the centuries and located at over 12 meters deep, underground walkways, ancient caves and peasant homes, spectacular cisterns, stone quarries and rock stratifications in which fossil finds dating back millions of years are set like gems.
Andria has an ancient history and it stands out for having been loved by Federico II di Svevia, who built Castel del Monte nearby. It is a town rich in underground sites: hypogean oil mills, crypts, and remains of Paleochristian and rock-hewn churches, quarries, and cisterns. These places are of significant historical, cultural, and documentary interest, though they have not yet been officially recognized as such and deserve to be brought to light.
